Weekly Workouts [week 253]
I am beginning my next half marathon training season!!! I've got my motivation back and I am THRILLED!!! :) Lots of running coming at ya!!
Sunday, 6.24: Rested.
Monday, 6.25: Even though my body didn't really want to, I got up and did Day 1 of Week 2--Kettlebell Combo!! I loooooved this workout--I'm gonna feel it later, haha! Then I went to Fit Barre after work which was great :)
Tuesday, 6.26: Got up again to do my BBA Kettlebell Challenge workout--today was Cardio Tabata! I couldn't jump a lot since I live on the 3rd floor, but I definitely worked up a sweat even with the lower impact options. And after work I got my butt out and ran 1.34 miles in 15:38--not my fastest, but I am VERY happy I ran!!
Wednesday, 6.27: Great morning workout with Kettlebell Legs + Arms!! I was planning to run after work but my stomach had other ideas, so I just rested.
Thursday, 6.28: I was super close to skipping this workout because my stomach felt off, but I did both Cardiokick + Kettlebell Standing Abs anyway and am proud that I did!! After work I had to skip my kettlebell class due to my stomach just not feeling great still.
Friday, 6.29: SO glad I felt good enough to get up and do Kettlebell Booty + Core workout!! Her workouts are so easy to follow & give you a great sweat.
Saturday, 6.30: Instead of doing an at-home workout, I got up early before breakfast with my family and ran 1.63 miles around the block in 17:42!
Sunday, 7.1: Ran the Firecracker 10K in 1:15:56--it was HOT and humid so it was a tough race, but despite all the walking I actually finished this faster than I expected!
TOTAL WEEKLY MILEAGE: 9.04 miles
*Skipped my run on Wednesday night.
*Skipped Kettlebell class on Thursday night.
*I GOT MY RUNNING MOTIVATION BACK!!! :-D All it took was for me to realize that the River Run Half in 10 weeks away, so I put a plan together and that seemed SO much more manageable in my mind than a full marathon training plan. So now I'm super motivated to get back to running!! :-D
*Ran the Firecracker 10K in 1:15:56 on Sunday--not my best, but definitely not my worst! The heat was brutal, so it was probably one of the hardest races I have ever run. Glad to have done it, though!!
10 WEEKS UNTIL RIVER RUN HALF!!!
